NEW ALBUM 'TROPITRONIC' OUT NOW
Evan has teamed up with BMW once again to release a full length solo album. Tropitronic is a mix of tropical beats and electronic rhythms and also features Evan's remixes of local Nicaraguan artists Perrozompopo, La Cuneta Son Machin, Monoy y Surmenage, Paolo Kalu and Sabu. New Mix for Hecho Magazine in Nicaragua....
The idea for the poolside mixes came while i was drinking rum in a plastic kiddie pool a few years ago. At that particular moment I wanted to hear something besides house music. Something funkier… something disco-ier…something OLD SCHOOL.
The first two editions of the poolside mix are purely music from the 70′s and 80′s, with a few newer tunes thrown in the shuffle. For volume 3 I wanted to go in a bit of a different direction and showcase some of the amazing Nu-Disco tunes that are out there right now. Deep and funky as hell. For me as an artist, it’s important to explore different genres of electronic music while also paying homage to my roots of funk and disco. The poolside mixes are not necessarily something I would play or want to hear in a club – it’s the music I want to hear while sipping cocktails in the hot sun.
I’m happy with the way this turned out..in fact it might be my favorite mix to date! So grab some flor de caña, jump in a pool somewhere (kiddie or full size), and enjoy!
